Description
Relive memories at the carnival with this vintage Magic Motion clock from Rhythm’s Ceremony series. Featuring an antiqued ivory-colored frame with golden decorations, this simple-looking wall clock has much more to offer than what meets the eye at first glance. Released in 1991, it was one of the very first compact Karakuri clocks ever produced by Rhythm in Japan. It was named the “Carousel” clock in the United States and“Small World Ceremony 2” in Japan. At the top of the hour, the clock transforms itself to introduce a miniature automaton show. The top half of the dial recedes as the introductory melody plays, revealing two carousel horses and a car with two children. Then, the LED lights blink and the figurines move along to another playful tune just before the dial returns to its original position. This vintage piece has a special charm unlike many of the Karakuri clocks produced today. The decorative LED light just above the “6” flashes every two seconds.
